Minimum of three eligible governors to be drawn from pool of Governing Body in alphabetical rotation, subject to availability and having regard to the need for the Committee to be balanced in terms of gender and race as far as possible.

Interviewing Panel

Senior staff – Headteacher plus DHT plus at least one governor

Teaching staff – Head teacher plus DHT and a governor if necessary

Support staff – Head Teacher, plus SENCO

In all cases at least one member of the panel must be safer recruitment trained, ideally two.
