We are currently reading 'The Boy Who Grew Dragons' written and illustrated by Sara Ogilivie. When Tomas discovers a strange old tree at the bottom of his grandad’s garden, he doesn’t think much of it. But he takes the funny fruit from the tree back into the house – and gets the shock and delight of his life when a tiny dragon hatches! But what mischief will they get up to?

English
In English, we are learning about the structure and features of an explanation text. To help us imagine owning a robo-dog, we watched the short film 'Mr Hublot', in which the main character takes in and looks after a robot dog. We will use this knowledge to write an explanation text about a robo-dog and how it works. We will then plan and write our own explanation texts about different robot pets.
